I only drive my 1997 Wrangler SE 4x4 in 2-wheel drive. How often should I drive it in 4-wheel drive?

- as needed
- about every thirty days for about five miles that will lube everything.
- At least a couple times a year just to make sure everything is still in working order.
- I've got an '83 CJ7 and the owners manual says to drive a mile or two once every six months in 4WD. If you can, try to do it in the dirt or grass or on wet pavement. Driving in 4WD on dry pavement is bad for the system.
- at least every few months to keep everything lubed and free. I run mine once a month on 4X4 for a little while just to keep everything moving.
- Once a month is good. Find a dirt or gravel road and run it thru 4 High and 4 Low for a mile or two. It keeps every thing lubed and lets you know if there are any problems. Happy Trails!
- I have to do it at least once a week. Otherwise my Wrangler gets mad at me.
- Well as long as its in 4H it really does not matter you cn leave it there as long as you like. Summer is comming you should be out 4 wheeling every chance you get anyway, that is why you bought a Jeep right. Don't let it go to waste.
- Just ounce every while to keep everything lubed up. It's good way to make sure it still works and that way if you need it at a later time you know it will be there to do the job. Just go fourwheelin and enjoy having a Jeep. Fling some mud and make it a day .
