How do I clean my stock alloy wheels?
I have a 1995 Saturn SC1 with stock alloy wheels. Sadly, I have never cleaned them, only when I go to the car wash, but they are bad. From the winter the salt from salt trucks have stuck to the wheels, during the summer, dirt and tar have stuck to the wheels. It is building up and it looks horibble? I have tried the soap and water, doesn't work. These are some tough "stains." What product out there will clean this or some at home technique?

- You can try using a degreaser/cleaner, spray on the degreaser then use a brillo pad, but dont rub to hard, let it sit for a few minutes, then wipe away with warm water, and repeat if necessary.
- they make a little buffing ball that you can put on a drill. get some wax and buff away that will clean and protect them.
- Id have to dissagree with the brillo pad cause it could scratch the wheels but u may check into gettin a clay polishin bar i would do that.
