What is the smallest street legal off road vehicle with 4 wheels?
Do they have quads or rhinos that are street legal? I am looking for something like a duel purpose dirt bike but that has 4 wheels.

- NO. A Jeep or Jeep-like vehicle will be the smallest off road 4x4 that is street legal. (USA).
- Depends on where you live. Here, dune buggys that are correctly equipped are street legal. It's mostly like a kit car. It takes a VW frame and engine. You buy the fiberglass body and supply the donor frame and engine. (Some places will build the thing, but that gets expensive!) Then you equip it as you see fit. They will take the fenders, lights, mirrors, etc., that are needed to make them street legal. Just don't drive it like you stole it. Unless you are off road and can't hit anything or anyone. Good part about one of these is you don't have to put your feet down when you stop, and are built a bit stronger than a dual purpose 2 wheeler. They are very light, very quick, and handle in sand like you would not believe! Not really a practical commuter car since they are open to the weather. Creature comforts are also in short supply. They also tend to handle in a poor manner in the rain on pavement since they are rear biased weight wise. Like a bike, you need to treat them according to the conditions you are driving in. Hope you find a good one.
- Depends on where you live. Some states DO allow ATVs or Rhinos to be licensed and operated on the street, but they must have all the lights and safety equipment required of street legal motorcycles or automobiles, (Lights, horn, mirrors, signals, etc.) and you will need an operators license to drive on the street. Talk to a local ATV dealer, or your state Department of Motor Vehicles to see what's available in your area.
