Buying aftermarket wheels for a 4x4 with locking hubs? I have a 1999 Ford F250 and it has locking 4X4 hubs and I was wondering if all off roading wheels have hubs that come out.

Why are the front wheels on my 2001 Ford Ranger 4x4 locking up? The front wheels on my truck have been locking up and the only way to undo it is to put it in reverse and drive for a bit. I think it has something to do with the transmission or the 4x4 feature?

Why are my wheels tilted? 94 Ford Explorer 4x4? I didn't replace the camber adjustment sleeve in properly. I replaced the upper and lower ball joints. I installed new tie rod and tie rod ends. Me and my dad where coming up a hill and it started to spin so we backed back down and put it in 4hi tried again and only the back wheels spun. went back down again put it in 4lo and only the back wheels spun. Took a look when we got home and when in 4wd the shaft that goes to the transmission to the front spun put the front wheels didn't. it sounds and acts like its going in but its not. and when in 4lo it changes gears fast as if it was working fine but the front wheels still dont turn.What could cause this?

I have a 2006 silverado 4x4, I put 22inch wheels on it and now I have a horrible brake shimmy, all new rotors. After installing 22inch rims on my 06 silverado 4x4, I got a horrible brake shimmy only when applying the brakes, I took it in and got new rotors, had tires rebalanced over and over and had all suspension checked, the truck only has 25k on it. I bought the wheels from a friend who had an 05 silverado 2wheel drive and he had no problems. I love the truck and absolustly love the 22s, but if I cant solve this mystery i will have to sell and drop back down to 20s. Any ideas please post, I have done all the obvious things the dealers and I could think of, I am hoping someone out there has had some kind of issue and found the problem. GMC question. 2007 Sierra Crewcab 4x4 What changes if you change the original wheels with larger wheels.? GMC 20 inch wheels with 275/55SR20 Goodyear Eagle LS-2 tires transfered from 2007 Sierra 1500 Crewcab 4x4 with SLT trailering package with 3.73 rear end, to a 2007 GMC Sierra 1500 crewcab 4x4 with Max trailering package that had 17 inch wheels with Bridgestone Dueler A/T on off road P265/70SR17 tires on it. These tires are original factory installed equipment on respective trucks. Are there suspension differiences which would not allow the swap ? Will it change the towing capacity ? Can the on board computer be programed for the wheel swap ? The GMC answer is generic and noncommital.
